Magicians Nephew pgs 151-179

In these pages some interesting things happened. Aslin had sent the horse and the children off on their journey to find the apple for him. So far, they had been having a great journey, but had the stop for the night to get some sleep. When they had stopped they realized they were hungry, but had no food. Though, Polly found some toffee on her pocket, though not enough for any kind of nice meal. They decided they should eat some of it, exept for one piece, and that one piece they would plant in the ground. They hoped this would grow into a toffee tree, which it did!!! They ate some and washed off in the river. After that they set off to go and find the apple. The rest of the way there was nice to, and they were sad the ride was over. There was a warning sign on the door of the cave, that said, to not take an apple unless it was for someone other than yourself. If I saw this sign I would probably be a little scared. This sign was in bold letters, meaning that thit was serious. It seemed kind of scary, which, in fact I thought was interesting. Digory went inside to the magical apple tree. Inside, to his surprise, he found the Witch. She was eating an apple and her face, around her mouth was turning black. This, I believe, gave Digory such a fright, as it would to me also. After Digory got the apple, but the Witch was trying to bribe him onto her side. It didn't work. Digory ran and got away. The horse, Polly, and Digory ran and left on their journey home. THey luckily made it back to Aslin safely. Aslin was very pleased. ~Bridey

Magians Nephew pgs 180-202

During these chapters, there were some major closing events. First off, Aslin was

very pleased that Digory had brought back the apple, and not eaten it. I think

Digory made the right choices. When they were back, Aslin told Digory to throw the

apple into the muddy river. I thought this was odd. After Cabby and his wife had

officially been pronounced King and Queen, every one was very happy. Then they found

Uncle Andrew all tangled up. I thought this was kind of funny!!! After Uncle Andrew

got all untangled, and was okay, Aslin told Digory to go and pick an apple for his

mother. He explained that the apple was not as powerful in his world, so, his mother

would become well, but still would eventually die. Digory, Polly, and Uncle Andrew

went back to their own world, and Digory gave his mother the apple. She became well

soon after! Many other things happened also. Like, Digory's father became rich and

came home from India. They moved into a big house, out in the country. Polly came to

visit them every holiday, and she and Digory were still great friends! Later in

life, Digory became a very successful man! I think this was a very good way to end

the story!!

Magician's Nephew pgs 112-152

In these pages many key events happened. The Witch apparently did not care for the lion much so she threw a lamp post at him and went away. (Which is why the Witch is not in these pages much.) All of a sudden, the Lion called out. He was calling for other animals. suddenly, animals started to come out of the ground. I thought that this was a little odd, but also interesting! Once all the animals were on the ground, Aslin, (the loin,) walked around tapping only a couple of each kind of animal. The animals that had been "chosen" went over to Aslin, while the other just wondered off. The animals that had been chosen were now able to talk, like humans. Cabby's horse, Strawberry, was one of the chosen ones, so now she was able to talk to Cabby. At first, (I thought this part was interesting,) Strawberry didn't remember her life with Cabby. Although, the more they talked about it, the more she remembers it! Digory told Strawberry how he needed to talk to Aslin, about his mother. So, Strawberry agreed to bring him to Aslin, while Polly and Cabby walked along side of them. Meanwhile, the animals saw Uncle Andrew, who was hiding, from the animals. When the animals got by Uncle Andrew, he was so terrified, he fainted. These animals were not the brightest, so they though he was a tree. they decided they should plant him. Which, I thought this was very funny!! After they planted him, they thought they should give him some water. That was the part when he woke up! Back to Digory, and them..... They made it to Aslin, and he happily welcomed them. Digory asked him if he could give him some magic fruit to cure his mother. Though, Aslin did not answer him these chapters. This part confused me, it was when Aslin pronounced Cabby and his wife King and Queen. I did not understand the reasoning for this. These chapters were very interesting, over all! ~Bridey

The Magicians Nephew summery pgs 72-111

Throughout these pages many events happened. First off, Polly and Digory made it back to the in between worlds, but then, (since the Witch was touching Polly,) the Witch came to the in between world also. That is what led up to all the problems in these pages. When the children went back to their own world, the Witch came with them. The Witch started calling off orders to people, like Digory's Uncle Andrew. A few demands later, the Witch and Uncle Andrew went to town. The Witch stole a horse from a man, and rode it back to Digory's street. People began to crowd around, and they started to get angry! Together, Digory and Polly touched the Witch and put on the rings, which made them go back into the in between worlds. When they got there, they accidentally went into a strange world where it was very dark. They were trying to make the most of the situation, but it was not a good situation to be in! Suddenly, there was a voice that started singing, and then the sun arose. I wonder what will happen next.... ~Bridey

The Magician's Nephew pgs 72-111

While I was reading these pages I often got confused. I didn't understand the part where The Witch comes in on the horse and starts talking. Other than the parts that confused me, I thought other parts were very interesting. I thought it was interesting how they went into that other world. I wonder why it was pitch dark at first. I thought it was a little odd - but cool - how there was a voice that started singing. I think thought that was interesting, but I would probably be scared if a voice just started sing.... and there was no one else in the room that was making the noise!! ~Bridey
